'With dan bau' is a piece I have made with the Vietnamese musical intrument 'dan bau'. The piece is quite repetitive.

The dan bau is a single-stringed instrument almost exclusively played with the use of harmonics (which is to only make a part of the string vibrate, instead of the whole string). The pitch is determined by using different harmonics and by changing the tension of the string. The string is attached to a stick (often made out of buffalo horn), and by moving this stick the tension of the string can change.

It is one of the few Vietnamese instruments that is not of Chinese origin.
